Yes

Will there be 19+ age gated areas?

Yes, the VIP area will be 19+ as well as other brand activation areas

How do I get to Swangard Stadium?

  • Skytrain
    Patterson Station is located within a 10-minute walk to the festival site
  • Bus
    Multiple bus routes to and from the nearby area
  • Rideshare
    Uber and Lyft will have a dedicated drop off zone adjacent to Gate A
  • Bike
    Bike valet services will be available adjacent to Gate B
  • Car
    Limited parking is available in the Central Park main lot

There will be two main public gates to enter the festival site at Swangard Stadium. Gate A will be located at the Northeast corner of the festival site which is the recommended gate to enter if you are travelling by Skytrain to Patterson Station as well if you are travelling by bus Westbound on Kingsway. Gate B will be located in the Southwest corner of the festival site and this is the recommended gate if you are travelling in either direction on Boundary Road and it is accessible on foot at 45th Ave.

What can I expect upon arrival?

Upon arrival at either gate at The Safe & Sound Music Fest 2022 at Swangard Stadium, you will be directed to the following 4-step entry process:

  • Step 1
    Security check including bag and body search
  • Step 2
    Age verification whereby all guests will have to provide 2 pieces of ID including a primary government issued photo ID and a secondary piece of ID such as a student card, bank card, credit card or SIN card. Guest who are 19+ will receive a custom age verification stamp.
  • Step 3
    Ticket scanning
  • Step 4
    Customers will receive their festival GA or VIP wristband and those with an age verified stamp will also receive an age verified wristband to purchase alcohol and enter the 19+ designated areas.

Do I need to be vaccinated?

No, all Covid-19 restrictions including vaccine cards were lifted on April 8th, 2022.

What am I allowed to bring in?

  • 1 personal empty re-useable non-metal water bottle (1L or less)
  • Empty Camelbacks
  • Cream or gel sunscreen
  • Pre-packaged personal snack food
  • Bag – size must not exceed 20” x 12” x 6”
  • Prescription medication
  • Towel and blanket
  • Guide Dog

What items am I not allowed to bring in?

  • Illegal or illicit substances
  • Alcohol
  • No professional cameras (except accredited media)
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Skateboards
  • Fireworks, flares, laser pens or laser equipment
  • Umbrellas – we have a covered grandstand
  • Animals (except guide dogs)
  • Portable furniture including lawn chairs
  • Large bags

What forms of payment do you accept?

Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Cash – ATMs will be available on site

Where can I purchase and consume beverages?

The entire festival site will be licensed so those who are 19+ and have an age verified wristband will be able to consume alcoholic beverages anywhere within the festival site. There will be 3 bars in the General Admission area and 1 bar on the elevated VIP Deck.

Will I be able to re-fill my water bottle?

Yes, there will be a water re-fill station available to festival guests. We will also have Red Bull and water available for sale at all 4 bars on site.

What are the food options?

We will have 10-12 food trucks on site and they will be located at the North end of the festival site, stay tuned for the Food Truck line-up announcement.

Can I bring my own food?

Only pre-packaged personal snack food will be permitted.

Will there be merchandise for sale at the festival?

Yes, there will be Safe & Sound Music Fest Merch and Artist Merch available to purchase at a dedicated Merch tent.

Will there be any phone charging stations on site?

Yes, we will have cell phone charging stations on site, but space will be limited so it is highly encouraged that you arrive with a fully charged phone.

Will there be a First Aid station?

Yes, we there will be two First Aid stations located near each of the two main entrance gates.

Where can I find the Set Times?

Set times will be available mid-May and they will be added to our IG page and website for quick reference.

Can I purchase tickets at the gates?

Purchasing tickets online prior to the event is highly encouraged as we are not yet sure if tickets will be available at the gates on May 29th.

Will there be a Lost & Found?

Each Main gate will have a dedicated person who will hold all lost items until 11:30pm on May 29th and then all items will be retrievable at a later date at location to be confirmed.

Will there be storage lockers for rent on site?

TBD

Is the Festival Wheelchair accessible?

Yes, we will have various wheelchair accessible areas on site and encourage those who use a wheelchair to enter the festival at Gate B.

Will the covered grandstand seats be available?

Yes, the grandstands will be open for general seating for anyone to use except for Section A.
